Dr Zak Rahman MBChB, MD, FRCS
Awarded the coveted Lord Smith medal by the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain & Ireland in 2004 for his research into pancreatic disease. As a mark of his contribution to surgical research, he became a Hunterian Professor of Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. He had the privilege of undertaking fellowships in renowned centres of excellence in Hong Kong (Minimal Access Surgery) & Germany (Pancreatic & Biliary Surgery).
He was appointed to a substantive Consultant post as a Pancreaticobiliary, Obesity & Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon at the prestigious Royal Free Hospital in London in 2008. He also works as part of the North London Obesity Surgery Service, based at the Whittington Hospital - one of 2 UK centres that are recognised as European Centres of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery.
Trained in major academic units In the UK and mentored by eminent Professors of Surgery in all aspects of upper GI, Pancreaticobiliary and Advanced Laparoscopic surgery.
Currently chair the minimal access and robotics surgery group. Leading specialist In UK for laparoscopic Pancreaticobiliary surgery.
Major interest in clinical governance and medical negligence.

Professor Mark Lansdale
Mark Lansdale read Natural Sciences at Trinity College Cambridge specialising in experimental psychology.
He then spent some time working as a specialist in the design on human-computer interfaces in ITT before returning to professorships in Loughborough and Nottingham Trent Universities. Latterly he was Head of the School of Psychology at Leicester University and now holds Emeritus status.
He has worked with a number of organisations including: Accenture; British Gas; Royal Mail; ITT Europe and ITT North America; Apple Computers; and a number of HM Government departments including defence and employment. Between 1995 and 2012 I acted as consulting editor first of the journal Ergonomics and then later as Editor-in-chief of The British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology. From time to time I appear in the media, as in a recent Radio 4 program Sharpen Your Memory.
